Joshua |
Joshua succeeds as the leader of the Israelites after Moses's death. From being a spy of Israel and assistant to Moses, he leads the Israelites and succeeds in the conquest of Canaan.
This book of the Bible also recounts about the dry crossing of the Jordan river, the fall of Jericho and the day of battle when the sun stood still.
The Hebrew for Joshua means "Yahweh is salvation".
